One of our inspirations is the work of this designer, whose name you may not know, but not his work, which you must have already seen.

Aaron Draplin is a graphic designer, author, and founder in 2004 of The Draplin Design Co. (DDC), specialising in brand identity, logo design, and typography.

He started his career with snowboarding graphics for Solid Snowboards, this jumpstarted his career. Now, he has an impressive client list including Burton Snowboards, Nike, Red Wing, Esquire and Ford Motor Company. He is also well known for Field Notes, a concept of inexpensive notepads, which have been incredibly successful.

Draplin is one of the new school of influential graphic designers who combine the power of design, social media, entrepreneurship, and DIY aesthetic to create a successful business and way of life.

“Staying frugal, working hard and being accommodating to clients. Those are the basics! Time-tested!”

Aaron James Draplin

“Well… I just like things that work you know, that things are sort of unfuck with ability. Things that you know sort of transcend style and transcend whatever it is, fad or trend that month you know”
